Starting in computer networking over 25 years ago, I discovered I have a passion for how information gets from here to there. As systems interconnected in a rapid pace, I found myself going deeper into the actual routing and communications protocols to understand what was happening. This lead to a number of certifications in network technology.

After designing and maintaining secured networks for various government and law enforcement agencies, I began focusing on Information Security in 1998. This provided opportunities to work with some of the best hackers in the industry, both as a defender (blue team) or a penetration assessor (red team).

Later, I took my experience in building information security teams and incident response teams and began working as an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer leveraging more than a decade of experience with the ISO 27002 code of practice. Now I work as a catalyst for change towards better security while allowing companies to remain nimble in today's market.
